Hannah Aufrichtig & Lentin Family

Hannah Aufrichtig, daughter of Alois Aufrichtig, was included among the list of close family members in the Terre Haute Tribune obituary report on her brother, Charles Grover Aufrichtig. The paper erroneously named her as Mrs M Linton. A pointer to her correct identity was provided by the 1920 U.S. Census in St Louis.

NOTE: Jennie Lederer's age has remained consistent on all census forms in which she has appeared. Hannah's age is given as 35, which with an 8 January Census, would mean an 1884 year of birth. Her actual date of birth, however, was 16 March 1883, meaning that her age should read 36. Daughter Reva Hortense Lentin has been entered as Rosa H Lentin. On nearly all documentation, Michael J Lentin appears as Mike Lentin.

Michael Lentin died 26 December 1939 while spending the Christmas holiday in Miami Beach, Florida. His body was flown back to St Louis for burial.

Hannah was visiting her daughter, Reva Hortense Lentin Bergman, in Chicago, Illinois when she died on 1 March 1937. Tragically, her death came just three days after Reva had given birth to her daughter, Joan Lentin Bergman, on 26 February 1937. Hannah was buried alongside her husband Mike and members of her Aufrichtig family in New Mt Sinai Cemetery St Louis.
