Visitors of a more permanent nature who spent some time living with Moritz were Valerie Aufrichtig, and Egon Aufrichtig, the grandchildren of his elder brother, Gabriel Aufrichtig, Berta Aufrichtig [02], daughter of Moritz's other elder brother, Alois Aufrichtig, and Robert H Aufrichtig, a grandson of Alois.

Moritz F Aufrichtig was a passenger on board SS Kaiser Wilhelm II sailing from Southampton, England on 20 September 1911, arriving at New York on 27 September 1911. Moritz's name wrongly transcribed as M S Auprichtig. Of special interest on the manifest is that his address was given as 3915 Dalton Avenue, Los Angeles. One year earlier, in the 1910 Census, Moritz and wife Betti were listed as living at 3927 Dalton Avenue. Immediately underneath their entry, at 3915 Dalton were Lawrence E Thompson and his wife Rae Thompson, subsequently identified as Moritz's daughter Rachel Aufrichtig. |

Moritz receives a visitor from Czechoslovakia - Berta Aufrichtig, the daughter of Alois Aufrichtig and Franziska Schwarz of the Prague-Moravia group of Aufrichtigs. Berta's entry on the SS-Noordam manifest stated that she was travelling to the United States to stay with her Uncle Moritz Aufrichtig in San Francisco, thereby linking the two groups. |

1922 |
Moritz and Bertha Aufrichtig both included in directory as living at 344 17th Avenue, San Francisco. Bertha [Betti] Zeimer had died 29 April 1911. It is assumed that the listed Bertha was his niece, who had travelled to San Francisco from Czechoslovakia in 1920. |

1930 |
Moritz's name was entered as Morrit Aufrechteg. He was now 84 and living at 344 Seventeenth Avenue. Sharing his residence were Carrie Upright described as "Niece", and nephews Robert Upright and Egon Upright. Carrie Upright, in fact, was Kamilla Patzowski, Moritz's niece-in-law and the widow of his nephew, Eduard Aufrichtig. [Other documentation confirms her identity as Camilla Upright and her maiden name as Patzowski.] Robert was the son of Moritz's elder brother, Alois, and Egon the son of Eduard and Kamilla - each, therefore, great-nephews of Moritz. All three had adopted Upright - the literal English translation of the name Aufrichtig - following U.S. naturalisation. |

Moritz died on 31 March 1932 in San Francisco. He was buried alongside his wife Betti at Salem Memorial Park on 1 April 1932. Death registration was carried out by eldest son Samuel. |
