NB: It has not been possible to determine the system of house numbering and it should be noted that the numbers listed do not conform to those used in present day Boskovice. There is also no satisfactory explanation available to account for Salomon Z Aufrichtig & Julie [Jachet] Lokschan having the seven children listed at six different house numbers, nor Salomon Aufrichtig & Malke Basch alternating house numbers 12 and 13. Bernard Aufrichtig is entered as born 7 July 1842. Correct date is 6 July 1842.

NB: Notwithstanding the vagaries of the 19th Century Boskovice house numbering system, Salomon Z Aufrichtig and wife Julie[Jachet] Lokschan appear to have lived at both 78 and 68 for periods of time. Note that Boskovice-San Francisco-Berlin Aufrichtig patriarch Samuel Aufrichtig was also at number 78 when getting married, and that number 68 was the nuptial home of both Schendl Aufrichtig and Rosa Aufrichtig. Age-wise, too, there remains the possibility that these four may have been siblings. Another possible factor in helping to provide a link between these two Aufrichtig lines is that a Salomon Aufrichtig was witness to the marriage of Samuel Aufrichtig and Barbara Herrmann. This appears almost certainly to have been Salomon Z Aufrichtig.

(*) A transcription from the original hand-written entries to the above Matrikeln has translated the name of Samuel Aufrichtig's wife to be Barbara Herrmann. A better quality American document gives her name as Bertha Merman. Given the dates and mid European location, Bertha would appear the more likely name.

Abraham Aufrichtig was the second son of that name born to Salomon Aufrichtig and Malke Basch. Their first son named Abraham was born 3 July 1825 and died 8 March 1826. Zallel Aufrichtig (correct spelling Zalel) is the earliest recorded ancestor of the Boskovice Aufrichtigs. (Death Register Entry]

The following Heimatscheinbuch entries refer to Aufrichtigs visiting or living in Boskovice at the time of entry. In most cases, it would appear that Boskovice was also their official town of residency. All persons were in receipt of an official residence permit of what was deemed their home town, and to which they belonged officially. Persons not officially registered to Boskovice carried the notice "züstandig nach TOWN NAME", indicating that they were officially a resident of that town - e.g.family member Sigmund Aufrichtig is listed as "züstandig nach Wien", indicating that Wiem (Vienna) was his official city of residence. Where the specific date of commencement of residency is known, this is identified by the expression "ab YEAR" - e.g. "ab 1845".

Wilhelmine Aufrichtig is Wilhelmina Paulina Hoffman, wife of Karl Aufrichtig of flea circus fame. Details of parents - Karl & Chgalla - are inaccurate. Wilhelmina's parents were Boguslaw Hoffman & Henriette Auguste Szedler. Later Heimatscheinbuch entries discontinued the listing of ages and substituted this with dates of birth.

NB: The Heitmatscheinbuch 1906-20 contains several discrepancies/inaccuracies, which may be due to difficulty in deciphering original handwritten entries. Simon Aufrichtig was born 15 January 1871 according to family documentation - and not 15 June 1871. Carl Aufrichtig appears in other documentation as Karl Aufrichtig. His daughter appears as both Friedolina Aufrichtig and Frida Lina Aufrichtig in respective Heimatscheinbuch entries for 1902 and 1909. Her family refer to her as "Frida". Franz Aufrichtig is one of several children of Jakob Aufrichtig and his wife Betti to to be found in the 1906-20 Heimatscheinbuch. His entry is the only one to additionally refer to his mother as "Blümele". Jakob Aufrichtig is credited with parents Salomon and Jasel. His mother was Julie Lokschan, who has also been referred to as "Jachet". It is assumed the name "Jasel" is the result of poor legibility. Elisabeth Aufrichtig appears under this name in a 1900 Heimatscheinbuch entry. Her date of birth is given as 8 June 1885. In a 1916 entry, she appears as Elisa Aufrichtig and her date of birth given as 10 June 1885. Bernhard Aufrichtig, credited as father of Salomon, Ludwig and Amalia, is Bernard Aufrichtig, referred to with that spelling under Geburtsmatrikeln 1823-48

Alzbeta Aufrichtig is the same person as 1900 entry Elisabeth Aufrichtig and 1916 entry Elisa Aufrichtig

Gerta Aufrichtig. Birthplace listed as Kyjov. The town was referred to as Gaya during the period when Moravia was an Austrian province.

Alois Aufrichtig was born 19 January 1880 according to family documentation - and not 13 January 1880.

Berta Aufrichtig is Bert(h)a Krakauer, whom family documentation advises was born in Mikulov and not Breclav. Bertha was the first wife of Alois Aufrichtig. Family documentation gives date of marriage as 28 August 1907, and not 8 July 1907. (NB: Not known if, perhaps, one was a civil marriage.)

Terezie Aufrichtig, whose first name has also been listed in other documentation as Theres and Tereza, and for whom no surname has been established, was the second wife of Alois Aufrichtig.

NB: The Wahlenliste 1890 contains a number of discrepancies/variations to other documentation. Bernard Aufrichtig continues to be mis-spelt as Bernhard, but on this occasion the correct birthdate of 6 July 1942 has been entered. His elder son Salomon Aufrichtig is entered as being born on 8 February 1882. In Heimatscheinbuch 1906-20 and 1910-39, his d.o.b. is given as 6 February 1882. Younger son Ludwig Aufrichtig is given the dates of birth 15 March 1885. Heimatscheinbuch 1906-20 gives d.o.b. as 20 October 1885. Jakob Aufrichtig and wife Betti are credited with the parenthood of nine children (two others died shortly after birth). The surviving nine are listed chronologically according to gender: seven sons followed by two daughters. Included is Therese who, in Heimatscheinbuch 1906-20, is listed under her true name Ernestine Aufrichtig. A further discrepancy is that the Heimatscheinbuch provides her correct date of birth 26 December 1876, while the Wahlenliste 1890 makes her almost a year older at 10 January 1876.

Fridoline Aufrichtig appears under a third variation of spelling. She is listed as both Friedolina Aufrichtig and Frida Lina Aufrichtig in Heimatscheinbuch 1906-20. In this entry it states "Ehemann Karl". She was the daughter of Karl Aufrichtig and her husband's surname was Bockelmann. It is not known if the description wrongly gives her father's name or if it be the correct first name for Bockelmann. Simon Aufrichtig is again wrongly assigned the birthdate 15 June 1871 instead of 15 January 1871.
