NOTE: In documentation dated 1918, Fritz Aufrichtig advised that he was boarding with his sister, Mrs Ida Mendel, at 510 West 123rd Street, New York. In April 1914, Ida Mendel was on board the SS Pennsylvania sailing from Hamburg to New York. Her manifest entry stated that she had been staying with her brother, Robert Aufrichtig, in Teplitz-Schonau (Teplice). In another column, she entered that she had a brother in New York named Fritz Aufrichtig. These documents not only confirm the sibling status of Ida, Robert and Fritz and their Teplice, Bohemia place of birth, but reinforce correspondence from Hans Aufrichtig relating to his Uncle Robert Aufrichtig and Aunt Ida Aufrichtig. |
