Rudolph was the second husband of Edith Stern Levy, widow of Charles Grover Aufrichtig. Following their marriage in 1923, Rudolph adopted Charles Grover Aufrichtig's children, Alois and Bernice, whose names were then changed from Aufrichtig to Stulz.
